Jon Jones and Bo Nickal allegedly got into a little wrestling scuffle whilst the two crossed paths ahead of their media obligations this week. Footage has now surfaced of the two wrestling powerhouses colliding.

'The Allen Assassin' is a grappling prodigy who has recently dedicated himself to the sport of mixed martial arts. Despite having just three professional fights in the cage, the NCAA Division I wrestler is already being touted as a future champion. He'll have the chance to prove that in his UFC debut on Saturday.

During the media day, both Jon Jones and Bo Nickal discussed their friendly wrestling confrontation which occurred backstage.

Bo Nickal is without a doubt one of the greatest American freestyle wrestlers to ever step foot into the cage and has the accolades to prove it.

An U23 World Championships winner, a US National Championships winner, and a three-time NCAA Division I National Championships gold medal are amongst his biggest achievements in the sport. At just 27 years old, the prospect likely has a great career ahead of him in MMA.

Nickal will meet 21-fight veteran Jamie Pickett, who is capable of shutting down his opponents as he has highlighted on multiple occasions. The two middleweights will open up the main card at UFC 285 this weekend.

Jon Jones' wrestling: Is 'Bones' capable of hanging with high-level grapplers?

Throughout his career, Jon Jones has showcased just how versatile he is no matter where the fight takes place. While he is an expert at overwhelming fighters with his unorthodox striking, he also possesses elite wrestling.

His grappling has aided him throughout his career. Accompanied by his high-level jiu-jitsu and vicious ground and pound, it has helped him dominate some of the biggest legends in the sport, but none more so than Daniel Cormier.

During his first outing against 'DC', Jones managed to land three of his five attempted takedowns. He outclassed the Olympic wrestler in his own game for the majority of their five-round affair.

Another example of his ability to out-grapple and out-strike athletes came at just 23 years of age. He became the youngest-ever champion in UFC history after a destructive display against Shogun Rua.
