Two-sport world champion Jonathan Haggerty entered the biggest fight of his career in April 22 2023 at ONE Fight Night 9 when he challenged the legendary Nong-O Hama for the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world championship.

Despite Nong-O's fearsome power, 'The General' was more than prepared for it as he faked the all-time great into leaving his body exposed for a right hook and followed it up with a lightning-quick two-punch combo to the head that dropped the Thai icon.

After scoring a second knockdown, Haggerty unleashed his entire arsenal against the wobbly Nong-O and the United Kingdom star sent him to sleep with another right-handed haymaker to the chin.

In his next fight, the Keddles Gym/Team Underground fighter added the bantamweight kickboxing world title to his collection by knocking out Fabricio Andrade at ONE Fight Night 16 just a few months later.

Jonathan Haggerty eyeing revenge at ONE 168 later this year

Jonathan Haggerty will have his second defense of the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai crown at ONE 168: Denver on September 6 against ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9.

After falling to Superlek via TKO nearly six years ago under Yokkao, Haggerty is glad to have the opportunity to avenge that defeat now under the bright lights of Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado.

Haggerty recently told Sky Sports in an interview:

"Now's the time for revenge. I'm glad it's come, we're both at our peak, and we're both in the best organization in the world."
