The video shows 'The General' throwing a hook through a bright orange pumpkin and smashing it to pieces. This is not the first time the 25-year-old fighter has broken fruit with his fists.
He has also punched through a watermelon:
"Watermelon punch anyone?"
After being away from the ONE circle for an extended period, the Muay Thai athlete is showing that he’s still as dangerous as ever by destroying these fruits with ease.
To the delight of the fruits, though, 'The General' is set to make his much awaited return to the circle, where he'll aim his strikes at the best fighters in the world.
Jonathan Haggerty is set to return on November 18
Jonathan Haggerty will return to the circle against Vladimir Kuzmin at ONE on Prime Video 4 on November 18. The Englishman will move up to bantamweight for the bout.
It will be a high-stakes showdown against a dangerous Russian-born fighter. Kuzmin dominated Chris Shaw on his debut and then lost a close split decision against the experienced Muangthai PK.Saenchai.
Russia's Kuzmin will be hungry for a win at ONE on Prime Video 4 as he wants to fight for ONE Championship gold. In an interview with ONE, he explained:
“Of course, I have big plans. Not only fighting guys from the top five, but I want the belt. Honestly, I don’t care who I’ll fight. My goal is the belt, and I’m coming for it.”
If he is looking to fight for the bantamweight throne against Nong-O Gaiyanghadao, he must win against Haggerty on November 18.
It has been a long road for Jonathan Haggerty to get this far. He struggled in life before discovering combat sports, as he explained to ONE:
“I have seen the path others have gone down and I think to myself that it is not worth it. That is not what I want to do. What I am doing now is what I want to do. Martial arts has given me patience and confidence, so if anything happens on the streets, I can just walk away because I know that I am capable of.”
