ONE bantamweight Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion Jonathan Haggerty showed great heart in his defense of the Muay Thai crown against Felipe Lobo this past February at ONE Fight Night 19.
'Demolition Man' shocked Haggerty with an all-out barrage in the dying moments of the first round to earn the first knockdown. However, 'The General' evened it out by dropping Lobo midway through the second round.
Seizing the opportunity to earn another highlight-reel finish, Haggerty knocked down Lobo again early in round three, ultimately forcing referee Olivier Coste to call off the bout as Lobo was left dazed on the canvas.

Haggerty's insane comeback over Lobo proved that moving up to bantamweight, at the behest of his coach, was the ideal change for his career after going on a monstrous run in the flyweight Muay Thai division to start his ONE tenure.
For his second defense of the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world championship, Haggerty will face the ever-dangerous ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 at ONE 168: Denver on September 6 inside the Ball Arena.
Jonathan Haggerty immensely confident in his chances of winning at ONE 168
Jonathan Haggerty has waited for an opportunity to avenge his October 2018 TKO defeat via doctor's stoppage at the hands of Superlek during their time outside of ONE. He will finally get that chance at ONE 168: Denver.
Speaking with ONE Championship, Haggerty said:
"I know what I have to do. I know what I'm capable of. I put 100 percent in my training. My coaches believe in me. So as long as I'm 100 percent, I'm unstoppable."
