ONE bantamweight kickboxing world champion Jonathan Haggerty is one of the more calculated fighters in the game right now, which he has used to the hilt to achieve success. He displayed this in his clash with Vladimir Kuzmin of Russia two years ago.
The two figured in a catchweight (147.93 lbs) Muay Thai battle at ONE on Prime Video 4 on Nov. 10. 2022, where 'The General' hacked out a majority decision victory. He did so with well-placed and well-planned moves that caught his opponent unguarded.
One such instance had Haggerty reading the feint by Kuzmin and countering it with an explosive head kick which left the latter dead on his tracks.
ONE Championship captured the impressive move and shared it on Instagram for fans to relive.

Jonathan Haggerty defends ONE bantamweight kickboxing world title for the first time
The Instagram post of ONE Championship of Jonathan Haggerty at his calculated best was in line with his scheduled first defense of the bantamweight kickboxing world title at ONE 171: Qatar on Feb. 20, 2025.
The 27-year-old Orpington, England native will face top contender Wei Rui of China in the headlining contest of the event set to take place at the Lusail Sports Arena in Lusail.
At ONE 171, Haggerty will defend the remaining ONE world title in his possession after losing the bantamweight Muay Thai gold to Thai superstar Superlek Kiatmoo9 in his last fight in September in the United States.
Haggerty claimed the then-vacant bantamweight kickboxing championship belt in November last year with a second-round knockout of the division's MMA king Fabricio Andrade in a marquee all-champion title clash.
Out to make it a short reign for the Englishman is Wei, a multiple-time K-1 champion who had a successful ONE debut back in May, winning over former bantamweight kickboxing world champion Hiroki Akimoto of Japan.
ONE 171 will be the promotion's second live on-ground event in Qatar after ONE: 166 last March and will be aired live and for free in U.S. primetime to North American fans with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.
