Kongthoranee Sor Sommai dominated Nakrob Fairtex in their all-Thai flyweight Muay Thai showdown last week, banking on an all-around game, including the accurate use of his straight lefts. The 28-year-old Sor Sommai standout raced to a convicing decision victory over Nakrob in their featured showdown at ONE Fight Night 26: Lee vs. Rasulov on Dec. 6 at the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
He made full use of his counterpunching, particularly with his left hand, which was precise and left his opponent guessing for the most part. ONE Championship highlighted his intelligence in the striking department in an Instagram post, describing how Kongthoranee's lefts were on point.
The caption to the post read:
"Kongthoranee's left hands are MONEY 👊💰 @kongthoranee.sorsommai"

The win was Kongthoranee's second straight victory, and 10th in 12 matches in ONE Championship. It is also expected to thrust him inside the top five in the flyweight Muay Thai class.
Nakrob, the No. 4 contender in the division, meanwhile, saw his five-match winning streak come to an end. The full replay of ONE Fight Night 26 is available on demand to Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
Kongthoranee eyes currently vacant ONE flyweight Muay Thai world title
Like every contender in the flyweight Muay Thai division, Kongthoranee Sor Sommai also has his eyes set on the currently vacant ONE world title, and is hellbent on realizing his goal of becoming a world champion.
He shared his intentions in an interview with ONE Championship, ahead of his latest fight at ONE Fight Night 26, held on Dec. 6 in Thailand, saying:
"Right now, the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world championship (125-135 lbs) is still vacant. I want to be the champion. I have to improve myself to get to that point. Maybe once in my life, I will be able to wear the ONE world championship belt."
Kongthoranee backed his push for a world title shot with a scintillating performance at ONE Fight Night 26, overwhelming Nakrob Fairtex on his way to a decision victory.
The ONE flyweight Muay Thai world title was left vacant after longtime champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon was stripped of it after missing weight in his recent title defense.
