Liam Harrison has no interest fighting in bigger weight classes
The 37-year-old has never expressed an interest in moving up in weight, claiming he's competing in the ideal weight class for him.
Harrison told The MMA Superfan:
"Probably not. I have no interest whatsoever. I know what look I am. This is the type of look I have, don’t forget I only fight at 65 kilos, 145 pounds, and I make that easily. I don’t struggle and I could probably go lower if I wanted to."
Since signing with ONE Championship in 2018, Harrison has picked up wins at bantamweight over Mohammed Bin Mahmoud and, most recently, Muangthai P.K.Saenchai.
The Bad Company affiliate has competed in over 100 contests throughout his career, winning eight world titles along the way. However, he's still yearning to get his hands on the ONE bantamweight world title.
Harrison is currently the No.4-ranked fighter in the bantamweight Muay Thai division. He only trails Rodlek PK Saenchai, Alaverdi Ramazanov, Saemapetch Fairtex, and of course, Nong-O.
The Muay Thai specialist is focused on recovering from his knee surgery so that he can continue his quest of acquiring ONE's bantamweight Muay Thai strap.
