ONE bantamweight Muay Thai elite Liam Harrison is one of the best leg kickers in the sport's history. His lightning-fast and powerful low kicks can stop anyone on their tracks. This was highly evident when 'The Hitman' faced Thailand's 'Steel Locomotive', Rodlek PK.Saenchai.
Rodlek, just like his monicker suggests, is an unstoppable force. There's very little you can do to halt his forward momentum. Liam Harrison, however, knew exactly what to do. In order to stop a locomotive from moving forward, you must take out its wheels.
In a video released by ONE championship, we saw Liam Harrison pulverizing Rodlek's front leg with multiple low kicks in a row. It was quite brutal:
"Rapid-fire kicks 🦵⚡️ @liambadco"

Even when Rodlek was lifting his leg to check those low kicks, you can tell that the damage was felt with every hit. You can see it in the Thai fighter's smile, which almost always means that a fighter got hurt with a solid shot.
Despite having tremendous success with his low kick, however, Harrison went on to lose the bout via a unanimous decision. Rodlek's aggression and otherworldly toughness managed to overcome the leg kicks to ultimately take the fight.
Liam Harrison on the road to recovery after knee surgery
Given that Liam Harrison is known as one of the best leg kickers in the game, it was quite ironic that his last loss was due to leg kicks. At ONE on Prime Video 1 last year, Harrison was stopped by ONE bantamweight world champion Nong-O Hama with one swift kick to the leg.
The immediate damage was so severe that when 'The Hitman' hit the deck, he couldn't lift himself back up anymore. The devastating TKO loss prompted Harrison to undergo surgery to fix his damaged knee.
In a video posted on Osteopathic doctor Aaron Caseley's Instagram, we saw Harrison's journey from loss to surgery to his road to recovery:
In the caption, Caseley described his work on fixing Harrison's knee:
"👊🏼 I’ve been working with Liam for around 2 years now for ongoing injury management, recovery and for training modifications support...The most recent challenge, ACL reconstruction and meniscus repair, Is no small feat. "
He continued:
"However, I’ve no doubt that with Liam’s beyond human, relentless pursuit of excellence and a phenomenal team around him."
From his exciting "Comeback King" fighting style to overcoming adversities outside the ring, Harrison is the epitome of the adage, "whatever doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger". We're very much looking forward to the return of 'The Hitman'.
