Michael Trizano talks about his motivation going into the fight at UFC 281
The rousing contest between Michael Trizano and Choi Seung-Woo was the perfect start to a packed UFC 281 card at Madison Square Garden. The third fight of the early prelims set the pace for the big night. Trizano returned to winning ways after suffering back-to-back losses this year.
This was Trizano's last fight under his current UFC contract. That wasn't the only reason behind his added motivation going into this fight. The American is soon to become a father and wanted to put on a good show for the fans.
Speaking to Laura Sanko on Quick Hits, Trizano stated:
"I have never lost twice in my career. That was definitely new to me and it hurt me for a long time. That's been my motivation and knowing that I'm going to be a father and having my family in the crowd.... it's been a bucket list fight for me just being in MSG."
He further added:
"On top of that, [it] was the last fight of my contract. There was no way I was going to be denied, not with this opportunity. I was going to leave it all out there, I was either going to get flatlined or he was."
Despite the gritty performance, Michael Trizano is ineligible for a bonus since he missed weight for the contest.
