The video started with the 'Mighty Mouse's' enshrinement to the ONE Championship Hall of Fame, then it was followed by a rewind of his highlights from his fights against Rodtang Jitmuagnon (in their special rules flyweight match in March 2022 at ONE: X), Adriano Moraes (in their world title rematch in August 2022 at ONE on Prime Video 1), Danny Kingad (October 2019 at ONE: Century Part I), Tatsumitsu Wada (August 2019 at ONE: Dawn of Heroes), and Yuya Wakamatsu (in March 2019 at ONE: A New Era).
Johnson also captured the ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix champion and became the undisputed king of the flyweight MMA division during his campaign under ONE Championship.
Demetrious Johnson thought his retirement wouldn't be emotional
Following his official announcement from mixed martial arts, Johnson posted a vlog on his YouTube channel for his point-of-view of the event and how it went down from his perspective.
The 38-year-old American icon admitted that he didn't expect his retirement to be that emotional when he addressed the combat sports community for the announcement, as he stated:
"I'm not gonna lie to you, I didn't think it was going to be that emotional. I didn't think it was it was going to be emotional, to be honest with you."
