Rising Algerian Muay Thai star Mohamed Younes Rabah swung back to the win column in his fight last week in Thailand with an explosive performance over American Eddie Abasolo.
'The Eagle' won by unanimous decision over 'Silky Smooth' in their featherweight Muay Thai showdown at ONE 169: Malykhin vs. Reug Reug on Nov. 8 in Bangkok's Lumpinee Stadium.
Rabah was in control right at the onset with telling punches, kicks, and elbows, which he punctuated with knockdowns in the first and second rounds. Abasolo, however, did not go down without a fight, even finding a way to knock down the Team Mehdi Zatout affiliate late in the third round.
In the end, however, for his overall dominance throughout the three rounds, Mohamed Younes Rabah was declared the winner.

Mohamed Younes Rabah says decision to move up to featherweight was right for him
After experiencing difficulty maintaining weight in the bantamweight division in his previous fight, Mohamed Younes Rabah decided to move up to featherweight to be in a position to better compete. It was a decision that he said was only right for him.
The Algerian lost by TKO in the first round to Thai Saemapetch Fairtex in their rematch back in February. It was played in bantamweight, which he said at this point is no longer sustainable. The experience left him miserable during preparation and it showed in his performance, particularly his power, or lack thereof.
Speaking to ONE Championship in an interview, Rabah said:
"I wasn't enjoying camp last time. I was eating less and training hard. Then I lost all my power."
At ONE 169 on Nov. 8, Rabah was competitive at featherweight and had his power back. He highlighted it by scoring knockdowns in the first and second rounds against Eddie Abasolo that set him up well for the dominant unanimous decision victory.
