Jonathan Haggerty plans to capitalize on legacy-defining moment at ONE 168: Denver
Before moving to bantamweight, Jonathan Haggerty was the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion. 'The General' took the gold from Thai legend Sam-A Gaiyanghadao but failed to secure a world title defense before enduring back-to-back losses against current flyweight Muay Thai king Rodtang Jitmuangnon, plaguing his promotional run.
Over his last three fights, Haggerty has taken his fighting career to another level in the bantamweight division. The ONE bantamweight Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion now looks to significantly improve his resume by taking out Superlek, who is coming off wins against Rodtang (Muay Thai), Takeru Segawa (kickboxing), and Kongthoranee (Muay Thai).
Haggerty vs Superlek isn't the only world title fight taking place inside the Ball Arena for ONE 168: Denver. In the co-main event, Kade Ruotolo will defend his lightweight submission grappling world title against ONE flyweight submission grappling king Mikey Musumeci, who looks to become a two-division world champion.
