WATCH: ONE CEO gives Supergirl $50,000 bonus for performance against Stamp Fairtex

Chatri Sityodtong surprised ‘Supergirl’ with a $50,000 bonus for her recent performance against Stamp Fairtex at the Lumpinee Stadium on Friday.

On January 20, ‘Supergirl’ Anna Jaroonsak attended ONE Championship’s historic launch of ONE Friday Fights 1: Nong-O vs. Ramazanov at the world-renowned Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong was interviewed mid-broadcast to give the biggest shout-out he’s ever given to the “special guest” sitting in the audience. Grabbing the mic, Sityodtong bellowed the following message to his Thai fans:

“I just want to say sorry for Impact Arena, I should’ve given the $50,000 dollar bonus so I’m going to make it right. ‘Supergirl’! $50,000 dollar bonus for your performance!”

ONE strawweight kickboxing contender Anna Jaroonsak gave one of the most mesmerizing performances of her career at ONE Fight Night 6 on January 13. The teenage phenom took the fight on short notice, but it didn’t deter her from going strike-for-strike with former two-sport world champion Stamp Fairtex.

After a closely-contested battle, Stamp ultimately got the nod and a performance bonus to boot. However, Jaroonsak made a bigger impact. Despite losing to Stamp, many fans believed she was equally deserving of a performance bonus for her competitiveness and warrior spirit, which, although belated, was rightfully amended.

‘Supergirl’ recently took to Instagram to thank Chatri Sityodtong for awarding her the 50K bonus after everything was said and done. She tagged the CEO in a photo they took together at the Lumpinee Stadium with the following caption:

“Thank you Mr. @yodchatri for give me opportunity to fight at one championship it change my life and congratulations for making a good show at one lumpinee. I will keep working hard and make a good performance for everyone 🙏🏻 thankyou for 50k Bonus 🙏🏻💕”

Sityodtong promptly responded to her post and wrote back:

“You deserve it for your incredible performance, anna! it was my mistake for not giving it to you right after your fight on january 14 at impact arena! Thank you for calling ONE your home! 🔥🔥🔥”

Following her controversial split-decision win over Ekaterina Vanderyeva last January, Jaroonsak worked really hard to get back into her fans’ good graces.

With Vandaryeva failing to negotiate a catchweight with Supergirl and Stamp Fairtex left without an opponent after Anissa Meksen’s no-show, the two Thai stars were paired up with each other at ONE Fight Night 6 to bring an exciting and fun match.

With their performance that weekend, It’s safe to say that Jaroonsak redeemed herself in exceptional fashion. After everything she’s been through, it was nice to see her get the recognition she deserved.
