“Watch out for ONE Championship” - Jarred Brooks says the best is yet to come for the promotion

Jarred Brooks believes big things are coming from ONE Championship in the coming years.

Brooks is just weeks away from the biggest fight of his mixed martial arts career. On December 3, he’ll step into the main event spotlight at ONE 164 to challenge the reigning and defending strawweight world champion Joshua ‘The Passion’ Pacio.

Ahead of the highly-anticipated world title fight, Jarred Brooks discussed his thoughts on the future of ONE Championship in an interview with Unwrapped Sports:

“It’s just starting, literally. Everybody’s on that tip of ‘oh ONE Championship’s gonna be bankrupt’ all of that stuff. And I have talks with Chatri [Sityodtong] personally and he laughs at that kind of stuff. Watch out for ONE Championship in the coming years.”

ONE Championship has taken a giant leap forward in promoting its fights to fans in the United States, and Jarred Brooks could be in a fantastic position to become the sort-of torchbearer for that charge.

Brooks is one of the most talented fighters in the world, and if he beats Pacio this December, he’ll cement his status in ONE Championship as a world titleholder.

Pacio won’t be an easy out for him, however. The young Filipino star has proven himself time and again as the man to beat in the division, and Brooks has a stern test ahead of him.

ONE CEO believes Jarred Brooks vs. Joshua Pacio will be a huge fight for fans around the world

The strawweight world championship clash between Jarred Brooks and Joshua Pacio has been a long time coming. Originally scheduled to go down in June, fans will finally be treated to the war they’ve been waiting for at ONE 164 on December 3.

Discussing the epic matchup in an interview with CNN Sports Desk, the ONE CEO believes that fans, particularly in the Philippines, will go absolutely crazy for the long-awaited bout:

"I think the whole world's going to watch this fight. I think every Filipino is going to watch this fight. 100 million fans in the Philippines and people go crazy. It's crazy."

Jarred Brooks and Joshua Pacio have certainly done their part for the better part of 2022, building up a rivalry with one another through a war of words on social media and in the tabloids.
