In her next match at ONE on Prime Video 4, Kelly vanquished all doubt by swiftly submitting sambo world champion Mariia Molchanova via a rear-naked choke in just over two minutes.
Danielle Kelly faces Ayaka Miura at ONE Fight Night 7
On February 24, at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video, Danielle Kelly will make her return to the circle in a match against MMA submission specialist Ayake 'Zombie' Miura.
The submission grappling match will be Kelly's third in ONE Championship and Miura's first foray into straight grappling matches
Miura is one of the most dangerous and technical submission specialists in ONE Championship, utilizing her strong judo and powerful joint locks. Her trademark "Ayaka Lock" has been a staple in the circle and all four of her wins in the promotion have come via submission.
The dreaded keylock from the scarf-hold position that 'Zombie' uses is so technical and powerful that opponents weren't able to stop it despite seeing it coming a mile away.
It will be interesting to see how Kelly manages to find her way out of the "Ayaka Lock" and mount her own trademark overwhelming offense. ONE Fight Night 7 couldn't come any sooner.
