Time and time again, taunting in combat sports has been a curse for fighters who commit such antics against opponents, and Russian athlete Batradz Gazzaev became one of its victims.
Oumar Kane became Gazzaev's sender of a humbling message during their heavyweight MMA fight at ONE 161 in September 2022 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
This before and after sequence was recently posted by ONE Championship on their Instagram account, and they wrote the video's caption with:
"Locked and loaded 🔥😤 Will Reug Reug's power be enough to dethrone Anatoly Malykhin when he challenges for the ONE Heavyweight MMA World Title at ONE 169: Atlanta? @reugreug"

In the video, Gazzaev tried to intimidate Kane during their faceoff by choking him. But 'Reug Reug' did not let that affect him and smashed him during the clash with a second-round TKO finish.
It was the Senegalese's third finish under the world's largest martial arts organization since his promotional debut in January 2021. He's since built an impressive 5-1 MMA record in ONE Championship.
Oumar Kane to challenge Anatoly Malykhin for ONE heavyweight MMA world title at ONE 169: Atlanta
Following this incredible victory over Gazzaev, Kane collected three more wins. He defeated Jasur Mirzamukhamedov in December 2022 at ONE on Prime Video 5, Marcus Almeida in August 2023 at ONE Fight Night 13, and most recently, Boucher Ketchup in July 2024 at ONE Fight Night 23.
Because of this fantastic streak, the 971 MMA and Black Panther Sports representative has earned his shot against the reigning three-division MMA world champion Anatoly Malykhin for his ONE heavyweight MMA world title on Nov. 8 at ONE 169: Atlanta.
The two behemoths will headline the loaded card inside the State Farm Arena in Georgia.
