Suablack Tor Pran49 is geared up to turn his fortunes around at ONE Fight Night 27. However, the Thai knows he has very minimal room for error due to his opposite number's power-loaded fists.
The Thai meets Russian knockout merchant Dmitrii Kovtun in a bantamweight Muay Thai duel that opens the organization's first Fight Night series of 2025 inside the Lumpinee Stadium.
Ahead of fight night in Bangkok, Thailand, the Tor Pran49 athlete caught up with Bangkok Post's Nick Atkin to explain why he cannot underestimate what his opponent brings to the table:
"For Dmitrii, I think he's well-rounded, and I think he's a very good fighter, not like the last time, it wasn't really a good fight. But I think he is a skilled fighter, and I will have to watch out for his punches."

Suablack's pressure could spell danger for Kovtun
Suablack may feel a bit uneasy about tackling the Russian's punching power. But that does not mean he will back down from a war.
He typically explodes inside the pocket behind his heavy-kicking game and always follows up with powerful combinations. That style should be his key to victory against the Russian's heavy, more calculated approach.
The 28-year-old has stamped himself as one of the most exciting athletes on the ONE Championship roster with his high-pressure style, where he secured a 6-0 run alongside four successive knockouts of Thanungern FA Group, Lenny Blasi, Shinji Suzuki, and Craig Coakley.
Unfortunately, he's suffered back-to-back losses to Kiamran Nabati and Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai as he prepares to step back into action this Friday, January 10.
With those setbacks serving as a lesson, Suablack's motivation is sky-high for this one.
