Professional athletes have otherworldly dedication to training for their respective disciplines of expertise and MMA legend Yoshihiro 'Sexyama' Akiyama is a prime example of that commitment.
At 48 years old, the former K-1 HERO Light Heavyweight Grand Prix World Champion possesses a physique that many his age would wish to have and he recently gave fans a look at his rigorous training regimen.
In a video shared by ONE Championship, 'Sexyama' was performing a weighted wall squat and upped the ante when Japanese male cheerleader Shohei Tashiro did a handstand to showcase just how strong the Japanese-South Korean MMA star truly is.

Also known as Choo Sung-hoon in South Korea, the Team Cloud athlete competed in the first season of the highly-rated South Korean reality competition series Physical: 100 which aired last year.
Akiyama made it to the final quest but was eliminated in Game 5: Punishment of Sisyphus after an incredible display of physical prowess despite being one of the oldest competitors.
Yoshihiro Akiyama earned high praise from most recent opponent
Fans last saw 'Sexyama' inside the Circle at ONE 165 this past January in Tokyo, Japan where he faced Dutch kickboxing icon Nieky Holzken in a catchweight (187.25 pounds) special rules contest.
'The Natural' defeated the Osaka, Japan native by TKO in round one and though it was a quick contest, Holzken gave Yoshihiro Akiyama his flowers.
Holzzken said in the post-fight interview:
"I go home, I celebrate with my family, take a week off, then I go train again. We talk with ONE Championship to see what's next. I want to thank Akiyama, he's a big legend in the sport and I wish him all the best. Sexyama, you are a good guy, oss!"
