Fighters react to Raul Rosas Jr.'s victory
UFC middleweight Israel Adesanya was full of high praise for Raul Rosas Jr. and reacted to the young prospect's UFC 282 performance last weekend.
'The Last Stylebender' watched as the 18-year-old locked in a rear-naked choke on Jay Perrin, earning himself a first-round victory. According to 'Izzy', 'El Nino Problemo's' grappling is already showing signs of Khamzat Chimaev:
"He's like a mini Khamzat, the way he's fighting at the moment. He's reminding me of Khamzat. Wow. What a fight. Yeah, he's in the money, haha! Give him the money."

Another fighter to react to Rosas Jr.'s victory was UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier. Following the win over Perrin, the 18-year-old jokingly called for a title shot against bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling.
According to 'DC', Rosas Jr.'s confidence is a mix of "youthful ignorance" and passion:
"Yesterday, I heard [Rosas Jr.] do an interview and say he could beat Aljamain Sterling today. I'm like, 'Hey, wait a minute,' but again, youthful ignorance. Youthful ignorance, because he believes he could be the champion right now, but I do believe that in time, there is a lot of potential for Raul Rosas Jr. to be something very special in the UFC."
Cormier added:
"Especially being Mexican. RC, I'm telling you dude, the passion of the Hispanic fans, crazy, and he's going to tap into that like all the great Mexican fighters that came before him."
