ONE lightweight Muay Thai world champion Regian Eersel solidified his reign with a picture-perfect knockout of Thai standout Sinsamut Klinmee in March 2023. Falling via split decision to 'The Immortal' over the inaugural 170-pound Muay Thai crown in Oct. 2022, Sinsamut fought hard in their world title rematch.
However, Eersel, who also held the ONE lightweight kickboxing world championship at the time, picked his spots carefully and eventually landed the fight-ending body shot midway through round four.

In his second defense of the lightweight Muay Thai crown in June 2023, Eersel needed less than a minute to end Dmitry Menshikov's hopes of winning 26 pounds of gold courtesy of a lead left hook.
The Surinamese-Dutch star sought to repeat the feat in his fifth defense of the ONE lightweight kickboxing world championship at ONE Fight Night 21 this past April against Alexis Nicolas.
However, Nicolas' stick-and-move game plan prevented the Sityodtong Amsterdam fighter from finding his groove. 'Barboza' ultimately won the 170-pound kickboxing crown via unanimous decision.
