ONE superstars Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Aung La N Sang had some fun messing around backstage in a friendly sumo-style encounter.

Both Rodtang and Aung La N Sang are promotional legends who have marquee bouts scheduled for ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video in May.

However, the flyweight Muay Thai king will first challenge kickboxing champ Superlek Kiatmoo9 at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video later this month, in what will be his first opportunity to become a two-sport champion.

Meanwhile, 'The Burmese Python' is scheduled to face China's Fan Rong in a pivotal middleweight matchup on ONE's first-ever event in the United States:

Rodtang content with how his 2022 went overall, eyeing world title runs in kickboxing and MMA next

Rodtang had a busy 2022, competing three times; twice in Muay Thai bouts in addition to a custom rule superfight against Demetrious Johnson. Overall, the Thai striker is happy with how he performed last year, but he wants more.

The 25-year-old is gunning for world titles in multiple sports before taking time off to start a family, telling the South China Morning Post:

"It’s been a mixed feeling. Overall, I’m happy that I can defend my title at ONE Championship. I am a little disappointed with some fights that I’ve missed, but overall I feel good."

He added, asserting:

“My goal is still the same. I’d like to make a run at MMA and kickboxing gold. I want to develop myself into a better athlete and try out different sports. And I’d like to start a family of my own soon. I want to find a special someone to live with and settle down with.”

A chance to attain kickboxing gold is nearing for 'The Iron Man', but it remains to be seen if and when he'll make his highly-anticipated mixed martial arts debut.
