Rodtang Jitmuangnon didn’t fail to pay his respects to his mother after delivering another exciting performance at last Friday’s ONE Fight Night 6.

As a typical fighter-mom who doesn’t like to watch her son fight, or worse, get hurt on the grand stage, Jitmuangnon was honored to have her watch his kickboxing match from the stands of the Impact Arena in Bangkok. From circle side, the mother-of-ten greeted her son with open arms as the Pattaya native made his way toward her to pay his respects.

Fans reacted to their heartwarming moment with the following comments:

“Giving respect to the one who gave birth to you is a big gratitude of appreciation. 🫡 🙏”

Another fan added:

“A devout son always shows humility to his parents.”

After two years, ONE Championship returned to the beautiful country of Thailand to give fans their first show of the year. With multiple Thai fighters on the card, it was only apt to have 'The Iron Man' make his kickboxing comeback in front of his home crowd.

Like clockwork, the Muay Thai sensation dominated his rival ‘The Eagle of Yi’ Jiduo Yibu, with unyielding volume and well-rounded attacks from the center. Yibu did his best to counter-strike, but 'The Iron Man' always got the better of those exchanges. Nevertheless, the Chinese striker made an effort to make the fight into a real brawl.

After three rounds of war, the 25-year-old phenom earned his second kickboxing win under the promotion via unanimous decision.

Demetrious Johnson is keen to watch a Rodtang-Superlek megafight soon

While both Rodtang and Superlek aren’t calling each other out by name, ‘Mighty Mouse’ Demetrious Johnson is willing to do it for them.

ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 recently captured the vacant ONE flyweight kickboxing world title following a unanimous decision win against Daniel Puertas at ONE Fight Night 6.

With both Rodtang and Superkek gunning for each other’s belts, Demetrious Johnson believes there’s no reason to delay their inevitable showdown in either sport.

Guest-commentating Superlek’s fight on Friday, ‘Mighty Mouse’ said:

“The biggest thing that Rodtang has, that maybe Daniel doesn’t really have, is the power and the ferocity that Rodtang throws - throwing up and down - and he also has leg kicks? That will be straight fireworks. Where’s the matchmaking team? Can we go to get that in the books, please?”
