WATCH: Rodtang's insane ONE Championship debut against Sergio Wielzen that created his mythical persona

Ever since he made his promotional debut, current undisputed ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon has been a fan favorite due to his relentless fighting style and showmanship. Rodtang faced Sergio Wielzen in his first outing under the world's largest martial arts organization in September 2018 in front of the Jakarta Convention Center crowd in Indonesia.

ONE Championship has recently reposted the best moments of 'The Iron Man' in that fight, and they captioned the Instagram post with:

"The birth of a legend 🤩 Look back at Rodtang's ONE debut before he defends the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Championship against Jacob Smith at ONE 169! @rodtang_jimungnon"

As seen in the video, Rodtang dominated his Surinamese opponent with powerful strikes and clipped him multiple times throughout their flyweight Muay Thai bout.

Rodtang's best moment was when he scored a knockdown against Wielzen, but the latter was able to answer the referee's eight-count and continue the fight. Eventually, though, the Thai striking sensation secured the unanimous decision victory to have a dream start in his ONE Championship career.

Hollywood superstar Chris Hemsworth backs Rodtang against Jacob Smith ahead of their world title rematch

In the six years after that incredible debut in ONE Championship, Rodtang has reached the pinnacle of success as he became a world champion and amassed a fantastic record of 15 wins and two losses.

Now, he is preparing for his world title rematch against No. 3-ranked divisional contender Jacob Smith in the co-headliner of ONE 169 on Nov. 8 inside the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Ahead of that championship showdown, the Jitmuangnon Gym representative received a surprise message of good luck from Hollywood superstar Chris Hemsworth, who has expressed his support for 'The Iron Man' ahead of his fight against the British star.

Hemsworth sent him a video greeting, saying:

"Hey Rodtang, what's up buddy? Just wanna wish you all the best in your next fight defending your championship. You're a warrior mate, you're an inspiration, cannot wait to watch it. Go get it done."
