In the video, 'The King of the North's' victories against Furkan Karabag, Muangthai PK Saenchai, Nong-O Hama, and Saemapetch Fairtex were highlighted.
These athletes fell victim to the incredible power of the Irish striking sensation. The biggest among these wins was against the former long-time ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nong-O.
Furthermore, these triumphs have helped Carrillo earn the number two spot in the division's top-five rankings and secure a reputation of being a knockout machine.
Nico Carrillo says that magnitude of beating Superlek at ONE 170 is bigger than ever
The Deachkalek Muay Thai Academy representative is now ready to capitalize on his first-ever world title opportunity on Jan. 24 at ONE 170, where he challenges the reigning two-sport king Superlek Kiatmoo9 for the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title at Impact Arena.
Ahead of that championship showdown, Carrillo spoke to Sky Sports for an interview, and he explained that winning against 'The Kicking Machine' will be bigger than just becoming the division's undisputed king, as he explained:
"Thinking about what Superlek, who's pound-for-pound number one, has never been hurt in his career, never been dropped, never been knocked out, to be able to maybe do that to him - knock him out, win on points, whatever it may be - it's something bigger than, I hate to say it, the belt. Superlek and the belt, it's like two big titles in one night, if that makes sense."
