Sean O'Malley lost a wager to his friend Brenden Schmitty when he went against the odds and bet against Jon Jones.

In a recently posted video on his YouTube channel, Sean O'Malley revealed that he placed a bet against his friend on the outcome of the Jon Jones vs. Ciryl Gane fight. If Gane had won, 'Sugar' would've gotten the opportunity to shave his friend's eyebrows. However, if 'Bones' won, he would have to pay his friend $200 and also buy him a cannabis product.

Returning to the octagon after a hiatus of nearly three years, Jon Jones made light work of Ciryl Gane as he submitted the Frenchman within the first round of the fight to become the new heavyweight champion of the UFC. This resulted in UFC bantamweight fighter Sean O'Malley losing the bet against his friend.

However, as shown later in the video, 'Sugar' ended up giving his friend Brendan Schmitty three cannabis products instead of money.

When is Sean O'Malley fighting next?

Sean O'Malley was last seen in action against former UFC bantamweight champion Petr Yan back in October last year at the UFC 280 event. Following a rather controversial victory against Yan, O'Malley became the No.1 contender in the bantamweight division.

With a title shot in sight, O'Malley was keen to get his hands on Aljamain Sterling. However, his hopes were soon put on hold as Henry Cejudo announced his return to the UFC and challenged Sterling for a title bout.

It is worth noting that even though Aljamain Sterling and Henry Cejudo have individually confirmed that they will lock horns in May later this year, the contract for the fight is yet to be signed. The same has frustrated the current UFC bantamweight champion, and he has called out O'Malley to stay ready to step in.

Aljamain Sterling replied to 'Sugar' over Twitter and revealed that Henry Cejudo "isn't making up his mind":

"Facts! The turd isn’t making up his mind. Be ready my guy. This is the fight the fans really wanted to see anyway."

Take a look at the tweet below:

It's safe to say that O'Malley could very well land an opportunity to fight Aljamain Sterling sooner than expected if Henry Cejudo fails to sign the dotted line.
