Heavyweight MMA contender Oumar Kane has a solid wrestling background in his fight arsenal, but during his match with Batradz Gazzaev in September 2022 at ONE 161, which went down inside the Singapore Indoor Stadium, he showed that he also has an incredible punching power.
ONE Championship has posted the tension of their face-off and fight highlights of the two behemoths on YouTube and wrote its video description with:
"Relive the heated heavyweight brawl between Senegalese wrestling sensation "Reug Reug" Oumar Kane and Russian colossus Batradz Gazzaev in 2022!"

In the early stages of the match, 'Reug Reug' had already showcased his striking chops with several kicks and punches, which also forced Gazzaev to constantly look for takedowns and neutralize the threat on the feet.
However, the Senegalese MMA star has successfully defended these takedown attempts and submission attacks. Kane also used this impressive takedown defense by Kane to be his primary point of attack.
He punched his Russian opponent multiple times on the side of the head and then transitioned into a full mount position. From there, Kane used his vicious ground and pound punches to make a human drum out of Gazzaev until the referee was forced to step in and stop the fight halfway into the opening round.
This was a bounce-back victory for Kane, as he previously suffered a TKO loss from Kirill Grishenko in April 2021 at ONE on TNT IV.
