Former ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion Superbon Singha Mawynn has a date with destiny as he faces the invincible Tawanchai PK Saenchai at ONE Fight Night 17 on December 8. The two pound-for-pound greats will battle it out for Tawanchai's ONE featherweight Muay Thai world title.
Needless to say, the former world champion will look to make a statement by conquering the throne of another sport.
Speaking of huge statements, the Thai former world champion made perhaps the biggest statement in kickboxing history by winning his ONE featherweight kickboxing world title in a knockout for the ages. Against the legend Giorgio Petrosyan, the Thai superstar pulled off one of the most violent and perfectly landed head kicks ever.

ONE Championship posted the historic head kick edited alongside his beach training with long-time cornerman Trainer Gae:
"Practice makes perfect 💯 Can Superbon dethrone featherweight Muay Thai king Tawanchai on December 8 at ONE Fight Night 17 on @primevideo? 👊 @superbon_banchamek"
Superbon's nuclear headkick has created highlight reel-worthy moments more than once. That's quite an achievement, considering that the sport he's in is filled with kickers.
Aside from the Petrosyan KO, the former kickboxing king pulled off a similar finish in his most recent outing. At ONE Fight Night 11, against Turkish star Tayfun Ozcan, he landed an exquisite counter-head kick after defending a punch combination. Not a lot of fighters can land a powerful high kick from inside the pocket, let alone knock someone with it,
Expect to see Superbon attempt to land the same kick against Tawanchai, who is equally feared for his powerful roundhouse kicks. This bout will go down in Muay Thai history as one of the most pivotal of its generation. Be sure to not miss it.
ONE Fight Night 17, which will feature two world title bouts across different martial arts, will air live on US Primetime free of charge for those with a Prime Video subscription in the United States and Canada.
