ONE Muay Thai champion Tawanchai P.K. Saenchai needed less than a minute to take out Jamal Yusupov at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video to earn his first title defense.

The 23-year-old phenom landed a vicious leg kick in the opening round that ended Yusupov's night and allowed him to retain his featherweight Muay Thai world title.

Tawanchai returned to the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Thailand, where he has dominated so many times in the past. The champ expressed his love for the venue in his post-fight interview, stating that it's the mecca.

Tawanchai open to rematching Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong, thanks his supporters

The Thai striker has delivered near-flawless performances since signing with ONE Championship in 2021, winning four of his first five bouts. The only blemish on his ONE record is a split-decision loss to Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong.

Tawanchai told the promotion that he welcomes the opportunity to share the circle with Sitthichai again in the future, saying:

“It’s actually up to ONE. No problem at all if they watch to set up a fight between me and Sitthichai. There's nothing to be avenged, though. Because he has my respect. But if ONE wants to make this fight happen, then I’m happy to face him.”

Sitthichai currently sits at No. 4 in the featherweight Muay Thai rankings, winning his lone Muay Thai contest in ONE Championship. The Thai star has primarily competed in kickboxing during his tenure in the promotion.

Meanwhile, the featherweight Muay Thai king made sure to thank his fans on Instagram after his victory at ONE Fight Night 7, writing:

"Thank you so much for the biggest support from the home crowd and my team who has been working day in day out to get me to where I am today. For Jamal, it’s been a pleasure fighting against you. Cheer up!"

Be sure to check back with Sportskeeda MMA for an announcement pertaining to Tawanchai's next fight, as he looks to extend his winning streak at the top of the featherweight Muay Thai division.
