Former undisputed ONE bantamweight Muay Thai king Nong-O Hama is not only a savage pressure-fighter who likes to move forward and attack his opponent, but he is also one heck of a counterpuncher. He proved this during his world title match against fellow Thai Saemapetch Fairtex in November 2019 at ONE: Edge of Greatness as ONE Championship reposted one of the best moments during the fight.

They captioned the short clip with:

"Evade and counter 😎 How will Nong-O fare against Kiamran Nabati on September 27 at ONE Friday Fights 81? 👀 @nongogaiyanghadao"

In the video, Nong-O was seen dodging the powerful head kick attempted by Saemapetch by leaning back. Then, he quickly fired a vicious right hook that clipped him.

Eventually, the Evolve MMA representative secured the fourth-round knockout win over the Fairtex Training Center-affiliated athlete, thereby completing his third straight successful world title defense.

The Thai icon added four more victims to his hit list - Rodlek PK Saenchai, Felipe Lobo, Liam Harrison, and Alaverdi Ramazanov - to further cement his legacy as one of the best Muay Thai fighters to ever grace the sport.

Nong-O wants to prove Kiamran Nabati wrong in their upcoming match at ONE Friday Fights 81

Since his dominant run as the unquestioned king of the weight class, Nong-O has only won one of his last three matches under the world's largest martial arts organization.

He theorized that this is why many young up-and-coming contenders are eager to face him, including his upcoming opponent, Kiamran Nabati, whom he'll face in a bantamweight Muay Thai bout on September 27 at ONE Friday Fights 81 at the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Ahead of that match, the 37-year-old veteran spoke with the South China Morning Post in an interview and stated that he wants to prove the 29-year-old Russian wrong about his thoughts that he could easily beat him, as he said:

"Well, it's not only Kiamran who has been calling me out at this present hour. I think the reason that he called me out is because he is confident that he would be able to win against me. But I will try my best to win against him. I will try to not make that happen. I want to win against him as well."
