WATCH: Thai megastar Superlek Kiatmoo9's calculated knee strike counter against Fahdi Khaled

Reigning ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 is one of the most feared fighters on the ONE Championship roster thanks to his uncanny ability to predict his opponent's offense.

'The Kicking Machine' has made great use of his fight IQ to catch his opponents off guard and respond with a crushing counter of his own - something that Tunisia's Fahdi Khaled felt first-hand.

At ONE: A New Breed II in September 2020, Superlek deftly parried a front kick attempt by Khaled and followed it up with a big knee to his body that forced Khaled to reset and reconsider his approach.

This moment of excellence was but a small display of Superlek's dominance in the contest which he won via unanimous decision, to make it four straight successful outings.

Though he would fall to then-holder Ilias Ennahachi for the ONE flyweight kickboxing world championship in his next contest, Superlek would respond by putting together a 10-fight winning streak over the likes of ONE flyweight Muay Thai world titlist Rodtang Jitmuangnon, Japanese great Takeru Segawa and Kongthoranee Sor Sommai.

Superlek bares game plan for September mega fight

At ONE 168: Denver on September 6, Superlek will challenge Jonathan Haggerty for the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world championship inside the Ball Arena.

Speaking with Sportskeeda MMA after his spectacular win over Kongthoranee last month, Superlek stated:

"I believe every athlete, there's always an opening or some weaknesses. It depends on who finds it first int he ring. So I'm ready to go out there with Jonathan Haggerty to find that out. What is his weakness and how can I exploit it."
