ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 proved he had Jonathan Haggerty's number during their clash over the British star's Muay Thai crown at ONE 168: Denver last Friday, Sept. 6, inside the Ball Arena. 'The Kicking Machine' allowed 'The General' to be the more aggressive fighter, which worked perfectly in his favor as he caught a lunging Haggerty with a devastating elbow just 49 seconds into the fight.
This elevated Superlek to champ-champ status as he captured the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title from Haggerty.
The British superstar, meanwhile, still has ONE Championship gold in his possession as he still reigns as the ONE bantamweight kickboxing world champion.

Superlek's heart-stopping finish of the two-sport megastar marked his second victory over Haggerty. Previously, he held a win over Haggerty from their October 2018 fight under the Yokkao banner, which Superlek won via TKO due to a doctor's stoppage.
This outing extended the 135-pound kickboxing world champion's winning streak to 11 in a row, with five finishes over that same span.
To cap off his ascent to becoming the king of the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai division, Superlek was awarded a $50,000 performance bonus by ONE Championship CEO and Chairman Chatri Sityodtong.
Superlek prophesized his ONE 168 victory over Jonathan Haggerty
A few days before Superlek triumphed over Jonathan Haggerty at ONE 168: Denver, the Thai hero predicted that the 27-year-old's over-dependency on the right side of his body would be his downfall.
Superlek said in an Instagram post by ONE Championship:
"We know what his weaknesses are. He likes his right side — his kicks, his elbows. We're here to exploit them on September 6."
