It was an action-packed bout from start to finish, as the defending world champion flexed his power against the challenger with his signature power shots of leg kicks and punches to inflict damage.
Meanwhile, Superbon, who currently reigns as the ONE interim featherweight kickboxing world champion, flaunted his technical abilities and displayed incredible fight IQ that made the match more interesting.
Eventually, Tawanchai was able to persuade the judges in giving him the majority decision nod to maintain his status as the division's golden standard and fend off the challenge of Superbon.
Superbon vows a better version of himself in his second meeting with Tawanchai
Following his latest victory over Jo Nattawut at ONE Friday Fights 81 last September with a first-round knockout, the Superbon Training Camp owner claims that he will be in his best form when he gets his hands on Tawanchai the second time around.
Superbon explained this during his post-event interview with the media, where he stated:
"Last time, I think I wasn't a hundred percent before the fight. But I cannot say that. So next time I will be a hundred percent. Then for my technique, it will be different. If you saw that fight, I think my technique, everything there I can do better, but my energy was not enough. So because my energy was not enough, I lost that fight. Against Jo, I think my technique, everything there, I looked better in that fight."
Superbon will challenge Tawanchai for the ONE featherweight Muay Thai world title in a world title rematch at ONE 170 on Jan. 24, 2025, at Impact Arena.
