UFC Vegas 66 delivered some late 'Knockout of the Year' contenders to in the last fight card of 2022. Surging featherweight Alex Caceres knocked out fellow up-and-comer Julian Erosa in the very first round with a stunning head kick, followed by vicious ground and pound. 'Bruce Leeroy' was significantly off balance while throwing the kick after missingly badly with a rear left hand.

A fan noted that 'Bruce Leeroy' was able to land the fatal head kick as he did not lose focus after missing with the punch. @MrGuyG wrote:
"After his rear hand was slipped his eyes were still fixed and he put that kick right where he wanted, beautiful job."
TSN's Aaron Bronsteter considers it a 'KO of the Year' contender from 'from a strictly technical standpoint'.
A clash of lightweight veterans Bobby Green and Drew Dober on the UFC Vegas 66 main card also produced another 'KO of the Year' contender. Green had his back against the cage when Dober slept him with a left hook in round 2. Follow up shots were hardly necessary.

'El Cucuy' fans were happy to see the veteran's old self as he visibly stunned Chandler in the opening round. That was all before 'Iron' shut Ferguson's lights off with a front kick to the face in round 2.
