Brazilian Jiu-jitsu phenom and youngest IBJJF world champion ever, Tye Ruotolo, is looking to add more gold to his trophy case at ONE Fight Night 16 on November 3. Across the Circle from him will be ADCC veteran Magomed Abdulkadirov, who will be making his ONE Championship debut. The 10-minute bout will be for the inaugural ONE welterweight submission grappling world title.
The young Ruotolo left a path of destruction on his way to the top of the mountain in ONE Championship. Even before debuting in the promotion, Tye Ruotolo and his twin brother Kade had an air of invincibility upon them. Starting Jiu-jitsu at just 3 years old, the Ruotolos grew up covered in gold as they bagged gold medals left and right in the US and around the world.
Once they debuted in ONE Championship, the prodigious brothers took over the promotion's submission, grappling divisions like kings.

"Before American BJJ phenom Tye Ruotolo faces Russian newcomer Magomed Abdulkadirov for the inaugural ONE Welterweight Submission Grappling World Championship at ONE Fight Night 16 on Prime Video, relive his flawless run in ONE so far!"
In his ONE Championship debut, Tye Ruotolo had a mountain of a task by facing 5-time EBI world champion and former ONE featherweight MMA world title contender Gary 'The Lion Killer' Tonon. Tonon is largely considered a legend of the sport and Ruotolo submitted him in just 97 seconds.
Next, the then-19-year-old prodigy faced former ONE featherweight MMA world champion Marat 'Cobra' Gafurov. He handily submitted the former world champion with a triangle armbar. Ruotolo also earned his second straight $50,000 performance bonus from ONE.
After dispatching Gafurov, Ruotolo made his US-soil debut under ONE Championship by facing ONE middleweight MMA world champion Reinier de Ridder at ONE Fight Night 10. Outweighed by the larger de Ridder, Tye Ruotolo dominated the match to win via a unanimous decision.
After dispatching 'The Dutch Knight', Ruotolo achieved another feather on his cap by becoming the youngest International Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Federation (IBJJF) world champion.
In his most recent outing, Ruotolo once again handily submitted a very dangerous foe in Dagi Arslanaliev - this time, not once but twice. At ONE Fight Night 13 last August, Ruotolo initially submitted Dagi in a heel hook that wasn't noticed by the referee. After some confusion, the young buck immediately jumped on Dagi's back and ended the bout for good with a rear-naked choke.
