Undefeated Turkish fighter Alibeg Rasulov introduced himself to ONE Championship fans with an impressive victory over former lightweight king Ok Rae Yoon in his promotional debut back in July.
The setting was ONE Fight Night 23 on July 5 at the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. It was for the interim lightweight belt but with only Ok eligible to win as a penalty given to Rasulov for failing the hydration tests.
Despite the setback, it did not stop the Dagestani fighter from taking the fight to the South Korean star, efficiently connecting on telling hits which considerably helped his cause in securing a deserving decision victory.
ONE Championship moved ot highlight the efficiency that Alibeg Rasulov showed against Ok in a video post on Instagram, in line with his return to action next week.

He now looks to take his ONE journey to an even higher level when he vies for the lightweight MMA world title against returning champion Christian Lee in the headlining contest at ONE Fight Night 26 on Dec. 6 at Lumpinee. Alibeg Rasulov likes his chances against champion Christian Lee in title clash
While he is coming in as the challenger in his scheduled title match against champion Christian Lee at ONE Fight Night 26 on Dec. 6, Alibeg Rasulov is confident that he is packing certain facets in his game that should work to his advantage and earn him a win.
In particular, he cited his wrestling skills, which compared to that of 'The Warrior' is better, telling ONE Championship in an interview:
"I think that Christian Lee has not yet met an opponent like me. My wrestling is better than his. I will force my wrestling on him."
That Rasulov is confident of his wrestling skills is not at all surprising, considering he honed them at Dagestan, which is known for producing topnotch wrestlers and grapplers. Wrestling, too, has been part of his arsenal which has kept him undefeated in 14 career matches to date.
