The recently concluded ONE Friday Fights 72 card on July 26, which took place inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, became the avenue for the first official faceoff between two-sport ONE bantamweight world champion Jonathan Haggerty and ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 ahead of their upcoming megafight.
Haggerty and Superlek are set to entertain the crowd inside the Ball Arena on September 6 at ONE 168: Denver, as the latter challenges the former for his ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title.
In a special appearance at ONE Friday Fights 72, 'The General' and 'The Kicking Machine' had an intense faceoff, which the promotion published it on Instagram with the caption:
"HEAD TO HEAD 😤 Jonathan Haggerty and Superlek face off before their ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Championship clash at ONE 168: Denver! @superlek789 @jhaggerty_"

As seen in the video, the two clashed heads and no one is giving an inch as they look to intimidate each other and gauge their strengths ahead of the champion-versus-champion showdown.
This will be the second meeting between the two. They first fought in 2018 at YOKKAO when Superlek handed Haggerty a TKO loss via doctor's stoppage due to a massive cut he opened on his face.

Aside from the faceoff with Superlek, the ONE bantamweight kickboxing world champion was also in the corner of his younger brother, Freddie. He competed during the event against Kaichon Sor Yingcharoenkarnchang in a strawweight Muay Thai fight.
The 19-year-old phenom recorded his second win in the world's largest martial arts organization and made his older brother even more proud with a buzzer-beating knockout in the first round.
ONE 168: Denver goes down at the Ball Arena in U.S. primetime on Sept. 6. Tickets for the event are available on Ticketmaster.
