Submission grappling world champions Tye and Kade Ruotolo are two of the most innovative fighters in the sport, and it's thanks to their aggressive style that most fans compare to hard-nosed wrestling.

So it's no surprise when the twin brothers trained with grapplers from one of the most successful collegiate wrestling programs in the United States.

Famed trainer Erik Paulson, who coached Kade in his MMA debut, posted on Instagram that the Ruotolo twins trained with the Oregon State University Wrestling Team in California.

Paulson wrote on Instagram:

"Great training session on Friday at Tenore with Kade and Tye Ruotolo, plus some of the Oregon State Wrestling Team."

Oregon State has one of the most successful wrestling programs in the United States with 53 Pac-12 Conference titles, the most recent in 2023.

The Beavers also produced 12 NCAA individual champions and 99 All-Americans.

As for Tye and Kade Ruotolo, the Brazilian jiu-jitsu superstars have already established their place as two of the sport's best-ever.

Kade is the inaugural and reigning ONE lightweight submission grappling world champion and has won gold in the ADCC, Who's Number One, and EBI.

Tye, meanwhile, is the first and current ONE welterweight submission grappling world champion and has world titles under the IBJJF and Who's Number One.

Kade Ruotolo defends lightweight submission grappling throne against Mikey Musumeci in Denver

Fresh off a successful MMA debut at ONE 167, Kade Ruotolo turns his focus back to submission grappling for his next match at ONE 168: Denver.

Kade will put his ONE lightweight submission grappling world title on the line against Mikey Musumeci on September 6 at Ball Arena.

Musumeci is coming off a stellar submission win over old nemesis Gabriel Sousa on the same card that Kade beat Blake Cooper this past June at Impact Arena in Bangkok.

Tickets for ONE 168 are available at Ticketmaster.
