Before Freddie Haggerty's much-awaited main roster debut, ONE Championship took a trip down memory lane to revisit the fight that launched the English phenom into the spotlight.

The younger brother of ONE bantamweight kickboxing world champion Jonathan Haggerty first made waves through the promotion’s weekly showcase at the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

His journey began in January 2024 when he faced Dankalong Sor Dechapan on the undercard of ONE Friday Fights 49. From the opening bell, Freddie wasted no time imposing his will, relentlessly working his way into the clinch and unleashing a barrage of punishing strikes.

The decisive moment came in the second round, where Freddie showcased his devastating power. A brutal flurry of punches brought the bout to a halt just 14 seconds into the period, sealing a resounding victory.

ONE recently shared ringside footage of this emphatic win, reminding fans of Freddie’s explosive debut:

Just six months later, Freddie returned to action at ONE Friday Fights 72, where he silenced the partisan crowd by knocking out hometown favorite Kaichon Sor Yingcharoenkarnchang in the first round.

With his reputation as a rising star firmly established, he continued his streak of highlight-reel finishes at ONE Friday Fights 91, dispatching Kaoklai Chor Hapayak in under one round to close out 2024 in dominant fashion.

Freddie's string of triumphs has paved the way for him to compete on the grand stage at ONE 170, scheduled for January 24 at Bangkok’s Impact Arena.

Freddie Haggerty tests newcomer’s mettle at ONE 170

In his first assignment as part of the organization’s elite at ONE 170, Freddie Haggerty will serve as the welcoming committee for Colombian debutant Jordan Estupinan as they go head-to-head in a flyweight Muay Thai clash.

Notably, Jordan is the twin brother of Johan Estupinan, who is also slated to compete on the same card against Johan Ghazali in another high-stakes flyweight Muay Thai duel.
