The WBC (World Boxing Council) has unveiled a special championship belt for the winner of the upcoming Jake Paul vs. Tommy Fury fight. The boxing organization has confirmed that the winner of the highly-anticipated Paul-Fury boxing match will be handed a ceremonial belt, namely the 'Diriyah Champion' belt.

The special ceremonial belt is believed to be named after the Saudi Arabian city of Diriyah, where the fight is expected to take place. The eight-round cruiserweight professional boxing bout between American pugilist Jake Paul and the UK's Tommy Fury will headline the upcoming boxing event at the Diriyah Arena in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, on February 26th.

The boxing match between YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul and Tommy Fury of the widely-revered Fury boxing family is being hailed as one of the biggest combat sports events of the 2023 calendar year. Furthermore, the WBC recently confirmed that should Paul beat fellow undefeated boxer Fury, he'll enter the official cruiserweight rankings.

Considering the matchup's magnitude, many believe that the WBC promising the fight's winner a ceremonial belt is par for the course. Boxing journalist Michael Benson addressed the same in a recent tweet and wrote:

"The WBC have created a new special WBC 'Diriyah Champion' belt which will be awarded to the winner of Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury this weekend…"

Jake Paul makes a bold prediction for his boxing match against Tommy Fury

The Paul-Fury fight was first scheduled for December 2021 and later for August 2022. Nevertheless, it was canceled both times, as Tommy Fury withdrew due to injury problems and visa/travel issues in 2021 and 2022 respectively. With their grudge match finally set to materialize, MMA aspirant and boxing star Jake Paul has gone all out in his trash talk against 'TNT'.

The 26-year-old Jake Paul spoke to Queensberry Promotions a few weeks back and lambasted the 23-year-old Tommy Fury, even jibing at the famed Fury boxing family. Paul indicated that their fight would mark Fury's first main event and first fight against a worthy opponent.

Furthermore, 'The Problem Child' predicted that Tommy Fury will break under pressure and hate the sport of boxing after he loses to him. Predicting how their fight would likely play out, the social media influencer warned that he'd take 'TNT' into deep waters and drown him, Paul stated:

"He thinks he loves this sport now but he hasn't really been to the deep end and I'm gonna take him to the deep end and drown him really fast and he's gonna hate the sport afterwards."
"I feel like he's distracted. Now he's fighting for his family, for his kid's food. His own family saying they're gonna disown him."
