‘The Sniper’ Stephen Loman is just weeks away from the biggest fight of his career to date at ONE on Prime Video 4.
The Filipino fighter will face former ONE bantamweight world champion Bibiano Fernandes in what could be a world title eliminator on the November 18 card. It will also be a chance to prove that he is one of the division's elite contenders.
Stephen Loman, who represents Team Lakay, has credited his training partner and ONE strawweight world champion Joshua Pacio for helping him prepare for fights with their intense sparring together.
In an interview with The MMA Superfan, Loman described how his training alongside Pacio usually goes down:

“The hardest sparring sessions I get is when my sparring partner and I are both in top shape, because we’re at peak condition and we’re giving it our all basically. I think Joshua [Pacio] does that too when we spar because he also has a fight coming up. We really push each other, whether it’s in striking or wrestling. We don’t stop, we don’t tone it down during sparring because both of us are at our peak.”

‘The Sniper’ has hit the ground running since signing with ONE Championship, scoring back-to-back wins in his first two appearances inside the circle. With that, he's emerged as an exciting addition to the bantamweight division.
At ONE on Prime Video 4 on November 18, he will face the man who dominated the weight class across two title reigns, the latest of which ended earlier this year at the hands of John Lineker.
“This is not going to be an easy fight” - Stephen Loman feels he needs to come in "prime form" for Bibiano Fernandes
Stephen Loman’s preparations will be crucial to the next step in his career as he gears up to face the biggest challenge of his career to date. At ONE on Prime Video 4, Loman will take on a legend of the circle, former ONE bantamweight world champion Bibiano Fernandes.
Undefeated since signing with ONE Championship, Loman finds himself in a great position. A win over the former champ could see him emerge as the next in line for a world title opportunity.
In the same interview, Stephen Loman stressed the importance of coming into this fight as the best possible version of himself:
“I’ve been working my hardest in the gym in preparation for my fight against Bibiano. I really have to get my body in its best shape and be at my best when it comes to striking and grappling. Both physically and mentally, I need to come in my prime form. This is not going to be an easy fight.”
