"We have wrestling backgrounds, and we go at a million miles an hour on our opponents. So I think that's a great counterpart to put into this production and what we're doing and what we're going to show in the fight."
Should all go as planned, the watching world can expect a high-octane firefight inside the Mecca of Muay Thai.
After all, Brooks and Balart are chomping at the bit to win the gold on offer and set themselves up on a collision course against divisional king Joshua Pacio, who is recovering from an injury after ONE 166: Qatar.

Separately, the former ONE strawweight MMA world champion has sent his well wishes to Pacio as the Lions Nation MMA warrior gets himself to full fitness following an aggravated ACL injury.
In a separate interview with Sportskeeda MMA, Jarred Brooks offered:
"I know Joshua is going to be out with the ACL injury. This just puts a stamp on me beating everybody in the division, including Joshua. I wish nothing but the best for Joshua. I'm sorry that happened at the end of the day."
