Aung La N Sang is prepared for whatever Shamil Erdogan throws at him when they square off in Denver. The Burmese legend will take on Erdogan in a pivotal middleweight MMA matchup at ONE 168: Denver on Sept. 6 at the Ball Arena in Colorado.

In an interview with Cageside Press, Aung La said he and his team at Kill Cliff FC have studied Erdogan's game extensively ahead of their meeting.

The former two-division MMA world champion acknowledged Erdogan's overwhelming wrestling game, but Aung La expressed his confidence in dealing with his opponent's grappling acumen inside the cage.

Aung La N Sang said:

"For sure, for sure. We did our homework. We know what he is capable of, we know how good he is in terms of wrestling. But we're prepared for that. And that's why I'm excited for this fight."

Aung La is as complete a fighter as anyone in the history of MMA, and he can end fights through his striking or grappling.

The former ONE middleweight and light heavyweight MMA world champion owns 15 wins in ONE Championship with nine knockouts and four submission victories.

He's also on a solid run of form with three straight finishes over Fan Rong, Gilberto Galvao and Japanese legend Yushin Okami.

Aung La will attempt to extend his winning to four-in-a-row and possibly book a shot at the ONE middleweight MMA world title against Anatoly Malykhin when he faces Erdogan at ONE 168.

Tickets for ONE 168 are available at Ticketmaster.

Aung La N Sang doesn't plan on retiring any time soon

Aung La N Sang's legacy is already set in stone, but that doesn't mean he's done chasing more wins and putting on explosive matchups.

In the same interview with Cageside Press, the 39-year-old bucked at the idea of retirement and expressed his desire to stay at the top of the game for as long as possible.

Aung La said:

"It's going to be a tough and hard fight, but I love wars. That's a reason I'm a fighter - I want to feel the war, the violence of a fistfight."
