Jonathan Haggerty is oozing with confidence while getting ready for the rematch of a lifetime against Thai superstar Superlek Kiatmoo9 at ONE 168: Denver on September 6.

This is not an ordinary rematch, as Superlek defeated Haggerty via TKO by way of doctor's stoppage in their first fight outside of ONE Championship at a Yokkai event back in 2018.

Now, as the two-sport world champion under the promotion's banner, Haggerty had studied his old rival well and feels that the outcome of their fight inside the Ball Arena will be different.

'The General' shared this revelation in an interview with South China Morning Post recently, especially on what he tweaked in his grueling training sessions ahead of this main event spectacle.

Haggerty said:

"Yeah. So we're more experienced now, that's one of the main things. We know what we're up against. We're not just going in there with a mind that we don't know what's going to happen. We know how things are going to play out. And we're excited for this one."

He concluded:

"We've trained hard. We're ready."

The Brit will put his ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title on the line against Superlek in what will mark one of the most high-profile matches of the year.

Jonathan Haggerty prepares well with altitude training in Denver ahead of ONE 168

British superstar Jonathan Haggerty has been preparing himself well for a month in Denver, Colorado to get himself acclimated with the altitude of 'The Centennial State', and he thinks that this decision has paid off.

In fact, he said that his first few workouts were quite hard to handle, but now he's at his best condition to step into the circle inside the Ball Arena for ONE 168: Denver.

Jonathan Haggerty told Sports Illustrated:

“My team and I, we came to Denver four weeks before the week to get acclimated with the altitude," Haggerty said. "I’ve noticed a difference. It’s helped to get out here early. The fifty kicks I start out with in training, I felt that a lot differently. But we’re getting there.”

Tickets for this stacked event are still available via Ticketmaster.
