Jake Paul last appeared in the boxing ring in November when he defeated Mike Tyson via unanimous decision at AT&T Stadium in the highest profile bout of his career. The fight received plenty of attention as it was live streamed on Netflix, with more than 100 million viewers reportedly tuning in.
While there was plenty of criticism online due to issues with the stream, Netflix chief content officer Bela Bajaria recently shared that the event helped prepare them for Christmas Day - where the streaming titan aired two NFL games, one of which featured a Beyonce concert at halftime.
Speaking to the media, Bajaria stated:
"We expected a big number, for sure. It was a big number, but again, you don’t know, and you can’t learn these things until you do them so you take a big swing. Our teams and our engineers are amazing, moved super quickly, and stabilized it, and many of the members had it back up and running pretty quickly, but we learn from those things. And we’ve all obviously done a lot of stuff to learn and get ready for the NFL and Beyonce at halftime and so we’re totally ready and excited for WWE." [h/t Deadline]

While there were some complaints during the NFL slate, it was an improvement from the Paul vs. Tyson card. The WWE is set to make their debut on the platform in January after signing a 10-year exclusive rights deal with Netflix worth a reported $5 billion.
Jake Paul shares thoughts on Jon Jones vs. Tom Aspinall
Jon Jones hinted at retirement leading up to his UFC 309 clash with Stipe Miocic, which he won via third-round TKO. Following the bout, 'Bones' revealed that he plans to continue his illustrious mixed martial arts career for the right price. While he declined to share what he is looking to get paid, reports emerged claiming that he wants a $30 million guaranteed fight purse.
Jake Paul weighed in on the reports, claiming that he should receive an even larger payday to face Tom Aspinall. He posted on X:
"Did my math. Understand their hope to have Jon Jones lose so they can create the next man. So… Bones should be getting a $50M guarantee for that fight. And $10 for every PPV buy above 600K. If they offer that to Jon, it’s fair. He should take it"

Jones has not publicly confirmed or denied the reports that he has asked for $30 million. Instead, the heavyweight champion shared that he plans to keep details of the negotiations private while expressing that talks between him and the promotion are ongoing.
