ONE lightweight and welterweight MMA world champion Christian Lee's defense of the 170-pound MMA crown against Alibeg Rasulov at ONE Fight Night 26 this past Friday, Dec. 6, ended on a sour note. However, Lee promises to resolve their issues very soon.

During the backstage post-fight interview, the Evolve MMA and Prodigy Training Center affiliate said:

"I would definitely be open to a rematch against [Alibeg] Rasulov. For me, I'm not happy going away from a fight without getting a clear, decisive win, getting a finish. So I'm sure that we'll face each other again in the future."

'The Warrior' and Rasulov had spent most of their world title clash on their feet and trading strikes, with both fighters having moments of excellence.

But as the second round came to a close, Lee accidentally poked the undefeated Turkish star in the eye during a heated exchange. Rasulov's injury was extensively checked by the ringside physician, alongside his trainer and referee Herb Dean.

After a long discussion, it was determined that the Hyperion Fighters representative could no longer continue, and their bout was ruled a no contest.

Christian Lee looked forward to competing in Lumpinee Stadium

Christian Lee felt immense excitement to compete within the hallowed halls of the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, which is also known as the 'Mecca of Muay Thai' after having hosted many legendary Muay Thai bouts.

Speaking with the Bangkok Post before ONE Fight Night 26, the 26-year-old shared:

"Definitely, it'll be a great experience fighting in the Lumpinee Stadium. I've ready about it, I've watched old footage of the Muay Thai champions fighting in Lumpinee and it's definitely somewhere I wouldn't imagine fighting in. So I'm looking forward to it."
