Nabil Anane plans to consider his options before deciding what's next.

In June 2023, Anane made his ONE Championship debut and suffered a first-round knockout loss against the legendary Superlek. Since then, the 20-year-old prospect has bounced back with four consecutive wins, two by knockout, including a unanimous decision against Felipe Lobo at ONE Fight Night 24.

Following his latest performance, Anane conducted a post-fight press conference with the media. The Algerian-Thai bantamweight had this to say when asked about what's next in his fighting career:

"For now, no. Me and my brother, Mehdi Zatout, will work together, and we'll figure it out."

Anane put the entire division on notice at ONE Fight Night 24. Before taking out Lobo, the lengthy bantamweight defeated Nakrob (second-round knockout), Muangthai (unanimous decision), and Kulabdam (second-round knockout).

ONE Fight Night 24 took place inside the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. The replay of the Aug. 2 event featuring Anane vs. Lobo can be seen by North American and Canadian viewers with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.

Where does Nabil Anane stand in ONE bantamweight Muay Thai division?

Heading into ONE Fight Night 24, Felipe Lobo was coming off a loss against Jonathan Haggerty for the bantamweight Muay Thai world title. Before losing by third-round knockout, Lobo temporarily shocked the ONE community by knocking down Haggerty in what could have been a life-changing moment.

Therefore, Lobo proved he belongs amongst the best bantamweight Muay Thai fighters. Meanwhile, Nabil Anane utilized the Brazilian's validation to make a massive statement at ONE Fight Night 24.

Considering Lobo was ranked number three, Anane should find himself in the top five rankings. Furthermore, the Algerian-Thai youngster could be matched up in a number-one contender bout later this year.

On Sept. 6, Haggerty will defend his bantamweight Muay Thai throne against flyweight kickboxing king Superlek. Following the must-see super-fight, Nico Carrillo is expected to challenge the winner. Anane and another top contender could fight in the meantime unless ONE matches him up against Carrillo.
