ONE women's atomweight submission grappling world champion Mayssa Bastos admitted that her defense of the crown against former queen Danielle Kelly at ONE Fight Night 26 on Friday, Dec. 6, could be tougher than their initial encounter this past August.
Bastos laid out her thoughts about their upcoming world title rematch in an interview with ONE Championship:
"I think so, on the one hand, since we now know each other better. It could be a more studied fight. But on the other hand, it could be easier, because as I've already fought against her, I already know her game, I can study her game more and I can find an easier way to come out with victory."

Seeing an opportunity to cement her reign over the division by defeating the Silver Fox BJJ product again inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, Bastos wants to do just that en route to earning another $50,000 performance bonus.
Mayssa Bastos ready for whatever Danielle Kelly has in store at ONE Fight Night 26
Mayssa Bastos understands Danielle Kelly will be at her most dangerous yet at ONE Fight Night 26, so she is squarely focused on their world title bout and nothing else.
In a separate interview with ONE, the Art of Jiu-Jitsu Academy affiliate said:
"In order for me not to be surprised, I need to be attentive at all times during the fight. I need to be very focused. I have no way of knowing what she will be thinking about doing during the fight, so I need to focus a lot on the present moment of the fight to do well and not be surprised."
ONE Fight Night 26 will air live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
