Jonathan Di Bella isn't worried about missing out on a rematch with Prajanchai PK Saenchai. After coming up short against the two-sport world titleholder at ONE Friday Fights 68 in June, Di Bella was thinking he could potentially get an immediate rematch against Prajanchai. Unfortunately, it wasn't meant to be.
Instead, the former ONE strawweight kickboxing world champion will square off with streaking standout Rui Botelho in a bout that could get him right back into title contention.
Speaking with Nick Atkin ahead of his clash with Botelho at ONE Fight Night 26 this Friday inside the iconic Lumpinee Stadium, Di Bella made it clear that he wasn't stressed about not booking a sequel scrap with Prajanchai.

Instead, he's focused on the task at hand — beating Botelho and getting himself back into the win column.
"As soon as I got out of the ring, I just wanted to fight again," Di Bella said. "I knew maybe we'll get a rematch, but looks like it didn't happen. So, you know, we put that in the past, and we look forward for Saturday morning, Friday Night in America, and we're ready to go."

Can Rui Botelho pick up his third straight win against Jonathan Di Bella?
While Jonathan Di Bella is looking to earn his first win of 2024, Rui Botelho will be looking to keep his streak going with a third win in a row.
After losing six out of seven, it looked like Botelho's ONE Championship career was all but over. Suddenly, the Portuguese sensation turned the tide with a stunning win over 'Fighting Rooster' Zhang Peimian at ONE Fight Night 16.
Building on the momentum, Botelho landed another big win at ONE Fight Night 25 — this time against Thai destroyer Thongpoon PK Saenchai.
If Botelho can claim a win over a former ONE world champion like Jonathan Di Bella, he could very find himself with a shot at 26 pounds of gold in 2025.
