Italian-born MMA star Antonio Mammarella is no pushover. In fact, he is ready to give a rough welcome to the highly anticipated fellow ONE newcomer, Adrian Lee.
According to Mammarella, the only way he can do that is by knocking out the youngest of the famous Lee family in their debut fight at ONE 167: Tawanchai vs. Nattawut II.
In an interview with ONE Championship, the Australian-based fighter said:
“We’re gonna get the finish via KO.”

The reason why Mammarella carries that kind of confidence is not just because of his swag, but also due to his longer experience in the professional mixed martial arts world.
Ahead of their fight in the Impact Arena, Bangkok, he added:
“I think an important aspect is not only having a pro fight, but also being a pro fighter for more time than Lee. And with that, I mean living, training, and thinking like a professional fighter.”
Plus, Mammarella has been training for years under the tutelage of Italy's finest coach – the highly respected Angelo Pompeo. Hence, this is indeed be a barnburner.
"I will honor her name" - Adrian Lee carries big legacy into his debut at ONE 167
On the other hand, Adrian Lee is also in a high spirit ahead of his promotional debut in U.S. primetime on Friday, June 7, at ONE 167: Tawanchai vs. Nattawut II.
The 18-year-old Singaporean-American fighter will be facing Antonio Mammarella, and he intends to continue the accomplishments of his siblings.
In a recent interview with EssentiallySports, the Prodigy Training Center athlete spoke about his family's legacy, and how it fires up his fighting spirit:
"Through my fights and successes, I will honor her name and legacy since she will also be there every step of the way."
Adrian Lee is the latest member of the Lee family to compete in ONE Championship.
Fans in the United States and Canada can catch Lee's fight at ONE 167 live and for free to all Amazon Prime Video subscribers.
