'The Burmese Python' Aung La N Sang is looking to be as sharp as possible when he faces 'Thunder' Yushin Okami at ONE 163. The experienced Japanese fighter poses a unique threat to the former two-division world champion as he fights in a southpaw stance.
Aung La N Sang is still growing and improving his overall MMA game. In an interview with The MMA Superfan, the 37-year-old fighter explained:
"We’re still working on attacking the southpaw, making sure that my footwork is better, making sure that my hands are sharp and my kicks are sharp. More importantly we’ve been working a lot on the ground, on the grappling part. It’s gonna be a fun one."

Working alongside world-class coach Henri Hooft, 'The Burmese Python' is creating a unique and dangerous game plan to execute against Yushin Okami when they meet on November 19. He continued:
“I think [I’m] more powerful right now, I think I’m sharper now. And I just had to get to the fight healthy and a hundred percent then it’s gonna be a fun one.”

Aung La N Sang still wants the ONE middleweight world championship
Despite previously holding world titles in two divisions, Aung La is not looking to rest on his legacy. Instead, he still has a drive in him.
The 37-year-old will certainly need a win at ONE 163 as he is looking to make a run for the middleweight title, a crown which he previously held. In the same interview, Aung La N Sang explained the timeline for getting a shot at the world title:
“It’s gonna take a year I think, I have a feeling that it’s gonna take a year. I had that run in me and I know it’s gonna happen.”
The middleweight and light heavyweight divisions are currently ruled by undefeated Dutchman Reinier de Ridder. 'The Dutch Knight' will be looking to defend his light heavyweight throne against Anatoly Malykhin on December 2 at ONE on Prime Video 5.
'The Burmese Python' Aung La N Sang believes that he is only a few wins away from challenging for the ONE middleweight world title. He will be looking to meet his nemesis in the ONE circle in about a year.
But upcoming at ONE 163 on November 19, he is in a must-win situation against Yushin Okami.
